Quick Take: Seattle Who-hawks?? Rams win 26:3

A-Man

Hi Mom, I am grabbing another man for the 2nd time today Cool

It was over when...

Seattle kicker Brandon Coutu missed two FG`s in the first half and Seattle`s offense never got in track.

Game ball

goes to: The Rams D-line sacking Matt Hasselbeck 9 times. Leonard Little led the new "Fearsome Foursome" with 3 sacks. User controlled Adam Carriker had two, Victor Adeyanju, Chris Long and Clifton Ryan shared the remaining 4 sacks.

Key stat

"Jackass" again and again and again is coming through each week. Some people wonder where the nickname Jackass is coming from. I don`t know Ickey. Steven Jackson`s statline in this game was 28 carries for 127 yards, a 4.5 avg. and 2 TD`s.

Noteworthy

Despite the win Marc Bulger is still playing horrible football. Under 50% of his passes found own WR`s and he was picked two times. No wonder Coach Moose is riding his RB horses. Backup RB Antonio Pittman was injured and did not return. The team is getting his medical evaluation on Monday and therefore 3rd string RB Kenneth Darby saw his first action within the first unit.

Week 7: Jets embarrass Bengals, 30-10

Quick Take: Jets embarrass Bengals, 30:10

Palmer

Carson Palmer trots back to the locker room after a very disappointing day

It was over when...

Late in the third quarter, L. Coles beat J. Joseph on a deep out route and B. Favre delivered a perfect ball for a 38 yard TD. The score capped the Jets' first decent drive of the game, and put the Jets up 27-3.

Game ball

The Jets defense produced one big play after another, helping the Jets to a resounding win despite a struggling offense. The front seven registered 5 sacks, and the constant pressure allowed the defensive backs to intercept 4 passes.

Key stat

The Jets defense created 4 turnovers in the first half, all of which gave their offense the ball inside the Bengals' 30 tard line. This led directly to 4 scores, and meant New York was able to go into halftime with a 20-3 lead despite having produced only 83 yards of offense and 2 first downs.

Noteworthy

On a rainy day in Cincinnati, Carson Palmer had one of the worst days of his career; while he did pass for 247 yards and a TD, his low completion percentage (47%) and 4 giveaways were the main reason for the Bengals loss... Brett Favre, on the other hand, was a model of efficiency - passing for only 170 yards, he found his receivers in the end zone 3 times... Led by rookie LB Keith Rivers' 8 tackles and 1 sack, the Bengals' defense was solid for most of the day, but found it impossible to make up for the offense's woes... Filling in for the injured Chris Crocker, SS C. Ndukwe made the most of his first start, registering 3 tackles for a loss and the Bengals' only INT... The Bengals fell to 4-2, and will struggle to stay on top of a very competitive AFC North.

Quick Take: Bears serve the Eagles a 50-Burger in a 50-32 shootout

Tommie...

Tommie Harris was all over Donovan McNabb to earn the NFL Defensive Player of the Week award

It was over when ...

Coach Smith went for a do-or-die play in the 3rd quarter. Instead of kicking a 48 yard field goal against the wind he decided to go for it on forth down. Matt Forte rushed for his second touchdown of the night to make it 31-20. The Bears capitalized from a poor defensive performance from the Eagles and made it a 50-Burger with Craig Steltz safety.

Game ball

Rookie sensation Matt Forte rushed for three touchdown and caught one. He had a total of 250 combined yards despite being on the bench in the forth quarter. This stellar performance made him the NFL Offensive Player of the Week. On the other side the Bears also had the Defensive Player of the Week in Tommie Harris. The DT had the best game of the season with 4 tackles, 3 sacks and one forced fumble.

Key stat

50-32 any further questions?

Noteworthy

With time running out the Eagles tried to come back from a 16 points deficit. Third string SS Craig Steltz got some playing time while the Eagles chose a 5 Receiver setup. The rookie was everything but nervous and sacked Donovan McNabb in the endzone for the Bears third safety of the season.
