Quick Take: NFC North rivalry game sees victorious Bears leaving Packertown

Hester is the man!!!

Kyle Orton launches the perfect pass to David Hester, who beats corner and saftey to score with a 90yrd TD reception early in the 3rd quarter

It was over when...

Bears running back Matt Forte rushed for 34 yards on the 3rd play in overtime, giving the visiting team great field position which resulted in the winning 51yrd field goal. The Bears already set the foundation with a good kick return to their own 41 yard line.

Game ball

goes to David Hester whos 90yrd TD reception early in the 3rd quarter gave the Bears a lead that the Packers had to play catch up to for the rest of the game. Beating corner and safety, he caught the perfect pass from Kyle Orton in stride and got into the endzone untouched.

Key stat

Both MLBs, Chicago's Brian Urlacher and Green Bay's Nick Barnett dominated the Defense with 10 and 11 tackles respectively. Urlacher was responsible for two GB three and out drives in the second half, while Nick Barnett was a main contributor to the Bears bad 3rd down conversion rate.

Noteworthy

While a "roughing the kicker" penalty allowed the Packers to score the equalizer and get back into the game right before halftime, they probably lost the game commiting a "delay of game" penalty on 2nd and goal on the Bears 2yard line in the fourth quarter. Instead of scoring the TD that would have given them the lead and probably also the win, they had to settle for a game tying field goal allowing the Bears to receive the ball first in overtime.
