 TD bomb

Yes he still can! Sometimes! Marc Bulger connects with Keenan Burton on this 48 yard TD bomb in the first quarter

It was over when...

the first whistle was blown. The Seahawks never a a chance in this game despite some good pass plays but the Rams D did not allow a TD and also held J. Jones completely in check.

Game ball

goes to... Surprise, surprise. Not Steven Jackson. He was good again but WR Keenan Burton opened the scoring and kept 3 drives alive, while hauling in 3 passes for 108 yards and 1 TD.

Key stat

The Rams held the ball for 29 minutes and controlled the game on the ground. Marc Bulger was solid through the air and finsihed with 275 yards, 1 TD and 1 pick. Seattle was only successfull on 18,2% of their 3rd down completions while the Rams had 50%. Chris Long was a beast finsihing the game with 5 tackles including 2 for loss and 3 sacks.

Noteworthy

At half time the Rams lead only with a score of 13:6 while beeing unable to score more then FG`s in the redzone. They came out strong in the second half putting the final points of the game on the scoreboard. No scoring in the 4th quarter so the final was: Rams 23 : Seahawks 6. Now three teams are 7-4 in the strong NFC West.

Quick take: Bengals hand Titans their first loss in dramatic fashion

Palmer finds Houshmandzadeh for the game-winner

Facing an all-out blitz, Palmer finds Houshmandzadeh for the game-winner

It was over when...

Kerry Collins' last second desperation pass was knocked down by nickelback Jamar Fletcher, sealing the Bengals win over the previously unbeaten Titans. The final score was 31-27.

Game ball

Carson Palmer was spectacularly efficient during the first half, then disappeared for nearly two quarters, but reemerged from his funk just in time to lead the Bengals on the game-winning drive late (very late!) in the fourth quarter. Palmer found Chad Johnson twice for 63 yards, before hooking up with T.J. Houshmandzadeh for a TD from 12 yards out.

Key stat

The Titans outgained Cincinnati in nearly every statistical category, but it was the Bengals efficiency on third down (54.5% vs Tennessee's 33.3%) that ultimately prevailed.

Noteworthy

This was an absolutely crazy game which saw the lead change hands twice in the last minute... Cincinnati dominated the first half, taking a 24-10 lead into halftime. But Tennessee then scored 17 unanswered points, and finally took its first lead of the game when Kerry Collins hooked up with Lendale White for a 2 yard TD with 50 seconds left on the clock... Earlier in the fourth quarter, with the Bengals still up by 11 points and driving deep into Titans territory, Keith Bulluck stripped the ball from Bengals RB Chris Perry, allowing Michael Griffin to pick up the loose ball and run it back 67 yards for the TD that really put the Titans back into the game... Bengals backup WR Glenn Holt ran back a kickoff 101 yards for a TD late in the first half... Cincinnati was seconds away from loosing its third game in a row. The win keeps them within striking distance of Baltimore atop the AFC North.

Quick Take: Packers run up the score in Detroit, win 27-7

TD to TE Donald Lee

A-Rod rolls out to the right and on the run throws a nice TD to TE Donald Lee

It was over when...

Daunte Culpepper got intercepted the third time in a row at the beginning of the fourth quarter, this time by Nick Collins after Al Harris picked off the Lions QB in the two previous Detroit offensive drives.

Game ball

goes to the Packers Defensive Ends Aaron Kampman and Cullen Jenkins who recorded 8 sacks (5+3) and pressured the QB throughout the game, effectively disrupting the Lions offense.

Key stat

The Lions only compiled 183 total offense yards in the game, of which 79 came on a TD pass late in the game. They got dominated and embarrased in front of the home crowd in the first two quarters and had to sneak into the locker room at half time with only 21 offensive yards.

Noteworthy

Frustrated about his inaccurate throws, Aaron Rodgers decided to run up the score in Detroit, punishing the home team with 17 late points in the 4th quarter, but unlike Woody Hayes the Packers didn't go for two after their last TD, 0:36sec before the end of the game. It didn't help the Pack's passing attack that both Donald Driver and Greg Jennings had to leave the game with injuries (will be back next week).
