Quick Take: Fly on the Wings of Love, Mr. "Seahawks-Killer" Vasher

scoreboard

Hi Mummy, I've won. Can you see the score?

It was over when ...

Chicago knocked out Matt Hasselback late in the first quarter. By the way – the Seahawks already trailed 24-7 after Nathan Vasher picked Hasselback not once, not twice but three times.

Game ball

No question – Nathan Vasher. The Bears cornerback set a new NFL Buam Season record with his fourth pick late in the game. He also returned two picks for a score. He was also voted as the leagues defensive player of the week.

Key stat

With Urlacher out of the game Lance Briggs stepped in a closed in on 9 tackle, two for loss and two sacks. The Bears D-Line dominated once again and chased backup Senaca Wallace out of his own stadium.

Noteworthy

Does this sound familiar? Bears punt returner Devin Hester looked once again very rusty on special teams. Coach Smith said, Devin needs to improve his route running but will return punts. Damn – Madden is so realistic.

Simulated Phins win again...

Week 11: Rams lead 16:3 at halftime

Quick Take: Rams lead 16:3 at halftime

TD pass

Steven Jackson managed to score (according to Madden stats) on a 0 yard TD pass from Marc Bulger

It was over when...

It is not over yet... Jones has still a half of Frank Gore to turn things around.

Game ball

No game ball yet

Key stat

Josh Brown nailed down two 50+ yard FG`s and Steven Jackson maged over 80 yards on the ground and caught the Rams single TD on a zero yard pass from Marc Bulger.

Noteworthy

I think Jones will win it, because the simulated Rams gave up 24 points in the first half of our first human vs. human game.

Week 11: Panthers beat Packers on frozen home turf with a late 4th quarter rally

Quick Take: Panthers beat Packers on frozen home turf with a late 4th quarter rally

Frozen Tuntra!!

Chased by Aaron Kampman, Jake Delhomme throws deep to find a wide open DeAngelo Williams in the endzone, scoring the Panthers first TD

It was over when...

Aaron Rodgers targeted Ryan Grant on an all-or-nothing 4th down pass with 23sec to go in the game. While Grant was wide open in the left corner of the end zone, ready to receive the 8yrd pass, Rodgers missfired like he had before several times during the game, forcing Grant to a difficult reception which made him step out of bounds.

Game ball

...goes to Jake Delhomme, who managed two scoring drives in the last quarter to give the Panthers the lead and win. In this very balanced game, both team's stats were almost identical until Delhomme started his aerial assault in the last 12min.

Key stat

The Panthers D held Ryan Grant to 60yrds rushing with a 3.3yrd average, forcing the Packers into long 2nd and 3rd down situations. Since A-Rods timing was awfully off several times during the game, Carolina finally came out on top.

Noteworthy
Although the Packers were leading 17-6 going into the last quarter, they never dominated the game. Jordy Nelson scored the second Packers TD on a 102yrd kick-off return TD that started the second half.

Week 11: Cards only need one good half to dispatch the Bengals, 40-24

Quick take: Cards only need one good half to dispatch the Bengals, 40-24

Houuuuuush-Master
In one of the very few bright moments for the Bungles, T.J Houshmandzadeh spins away from a defender and takes it 80 yards for a TD just before halftime

It was over when...

Neil Rackers hit a 52 yard FG with just over 2 minutes left in the fourth quarter to put Arizona up by 16 points and definitely put the game out of Cincinnati's reach. Then of course, you could argue that the game was all but over at halftime with the Cardinals up 34-10... but the Bengals did manage a comeback of sorts, and even pulled within 10 points early in the fourth quarter.

Game ball

Anquan Boldin had a field day against the Bengals secondary, catching 9 balls for 125 yards and 3 TDs - all of them in the first half.

Key stat

Kurt Warner passed for 316 yards in the first half alone. Add to that the fact that the Bengals failed to convert a single third down, and you know why many home fans had seen enough after 2 quarters and left!

Noteworthy

The Bengals' futility in the first half was of epic dimensions, and only the fact that the defense stiffened up a bit in the second half, and that Carson Palmer did eventually manage to find T.J Houshmandzadeh for 3 TDs, prevented a major embarrassment... Want stats? How about a 1.6 yard average per rush, an 18% third down conversion rate, 4 turnovers and 5 sacks allowed? ... The Bengals didn't get any breaks from the officials either. In the first half, coach Lewis challenged a fumble, but despite clear evidence that Cedric Benson was down before the ball came out, the refs somehow failed to overrule their call... With the loss, the Bengals fall to 6-4, and will have to improve dramatically if they want to stay in the race for the AFC North title.
