Quick Take: Queens leave Packertown after 15-27 beating

 Fierce Packers LBs

Fierce Packers LBs: A.J. Hawk sacks Tarvaris Jackson replacement Gus Frerotte on a 3rd down in the Packs Redzone forcing the field goal. Nick Barnett puts a hard flying hit on Bernard Berrian who cannot hold on to the ball he just caught on the run.

It was over when...

Ryan Grant put his third TD-nail into the Queens' coffin by scoring on a 4th and goal from the 1yrd line in the third quarter to give the Pack a comfortable 24-3 lead. Even a late rally of the purple&gold did not change the final outcome of the game.

Game ball

Ryan Grant again and again, this time with 221 total yards, 162 on the ground. Grant, who had a 6.2yrd rushing average and ran for 20+yards three times also scored all three Packer TDs. The Vikings D was pounded by both Packers RBs, also Brandon Jackson managed to run for a 6.0yrd average on 6 tries.

Key stat

Minnesota's Adrian Peterson was held to 43 rushing yards, mostly by the great effort of Packers MLB Nick Barnett, who led the green and gold Defense with 8 tackles.

Noteworthy

No team backed down in this brutal game between the two NFC North rivals. Tarvaris Jackson was knocked out early but returned, just to leave the game for good early in the 2nd quarter. Vikings Kick and Punt retuner Bobby Wade left the game twice, but had the guts to return, while even tough guys like Jared Allen took a timeout. For the Home team, Aaron Rodgers stayed on the sidelines after a hard hit with 10min to go in the last quater. Earlier Brady Poppinga and Greg Jennings also were amongst those that were out for several minutes.
